Sherri Lynn Henderson Guinn, age 63, of Hopkinsville, passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at Baptist Health Deaconess Madisonville from natural causes. Celebration of Life Services will be at 1:00 PM on Friday, May 29, 2026, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home, with Pastor Ross Littlepage officiating, and burial to follow at Ancestral Haven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday, May 29, 2026, from 10:00 AM until the service time at 1:00 PM. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements.
Sherri was born in Pembroke, KY, on August 22, 1962, the daughter of the late Delmon “Cowboy” and Mildred Geneva Price Henderson. Sherri retired after 31 ½ years of service at the Christian County Jail. She had obtained an Associate of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice. She was a member of Living Hope Baptist Church, the KFOP, and the Kentucky Jailers Association. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Stephanie Lynn Guinn.
Survivors include her daughters, Ashley Tejada of Hopkinsville, Heather (Victor Jr.) Grubbs of Hopkinsville; her brother, Donnie (Denise) Henderson of Hopkinsville; and her four beloved grandchildren, Jazmira “Jazzy” Tejada, Alayna Wilson, Jae’lyn Tejada, and James Ryan Wilson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Kentucky Sheriffs Boys and Girls Ranch, P.O. Box 57, Gilbertsville, KY 42044.
