Christian County Grand Jury Returns Indictments for Robbery and Burglary

The Christian County Grand Jury returned a series of indictments Friday involving charges ranging from burglary and robbery to drug trafficking, assault, kidnapping, and DUI-related offenses.

Among the burglary-related indictments, 22-year-old Cheyenne Helton of Oak Grove was indicted for complicity to first-degree burglary. The indictment alleges Helton knowingly and unlawfully entered Riddle’s Towing in Oak Grove on March 14 while armed with a deadly weapon or acting as an accomplice.

21-year-old Alec Parmley, of Hopkinsville, was indicted in the same case and charged with attempted first-degree burglary.

In robbery cases, 42-year-old Dustin Lee, whose address was listed as ‘city at large,’ was indicted for first-degree robbery. According to the indictment, Lee allegedly used or threatened the use of physical force during a theft at Happy Hour Vape while armed with a deadly weapon or dangerous instrument on March 10.

Several indictments involved drug-related offenses.

54-year-old Tracy Lehman, of Pembroke, was indicted on charges of first-degree possession of a controlled substance involving methamphetamine while armed, first-degree possession of cocaine while armed, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia stemming from a March 30 incident in Oak Grove.

39-year-old Krista Wiley, of Tennessee Ridge, Tennessee, was indicted on similar charges involving methamphetamine, cocaine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia while armed with a deadly weapon in connection to the same incident.

47-year-old Bunnie Dickerson, whose address was listed as ‘city at large,’ was indicted for first-degree possession of methamphetamine and public intoxication.

25-year-old Johnny Jenkins Jr. of Hopkinsville was indicted for first-degree possession of cocaine, first-degree possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, operating a motor vehicle under the influence, operating on a suspended or revoked license, prescription controlled substance not in original container, possession of an open alcohol container, improper parking, and careless driving stemming from a March 19 traffic stop by the Christian County Sheriff’s Office.

62-year-old James Morris, of Hopkinsville, was indicted for first-degree possession of cocaine, operating on a suspended or revoked license, and excessive windshield tinting resulting from a February 14 traffic stop by Christian County Sheriff’s deputies.

43-year-old James Dunn, 47, of Oak Grove was indicted for second-offense possession of methamphetamine, tampering with physical evidence, possession of drug paraphernalia, operating on a suspended license, possession of marijuana, and displaying an illegal or altered registration plate stemming from a March 18 traffic stop.

68-year-old Lawrence Grace of Hopkinsville was indicted for first-degree possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, and public intoxication in connection with an April 5 incident investigated by the Hopkinsville Police Department.

42-year-old Latrez Brison, of Hopkinsville, was indicted for first-degree possession of methamphetamine, third offense or greater, in connection with a March 4 incident in Hopkinsville.

27-year-old Steven Cager Jr. of Hopkinsville was indicted for second-offense marijuana trafficking involving more than eight ounces but less than five pounds, fleeing police by motor vehicle and on foot, possession of drug paraphernalia, DUI with aggravating circumstances, reckless driving, improper passing, possession of an open alcohol container, and failure to wear a seat belt.

Among assault-related indictments, 46-year-old Kenneth Benedix of Hopkinsville was indicted for fourth-degree assault involving domestic violence, third offense within five years, and violation of an emergency protective order or domestic violence order in connection with an April 5 incident in Hopkinsville.

41-year-old William Johnson, of Pembroke, was indicted for second-degree strangulation involving domestic violence and fourth-degree assault involving domestic violence in connection to a March 26 incident.

47-year-old Derick Moorefield of Hopkinsville was indicted separately for second-degree burglary, possession of a controlled substance, second-degree disorderly conduct, and public intoxication in connection to a March 29 incident investigated by the Hopkinsville Police Department.

Moorefield was also indicted on charges including kidnapping with serious physical injury, two counts of first-degree sodomy involving domestic violence, second-degree assault, first-degree strangulation, trafficking in marijuana while armed, and possession of a controlled substance.

In another case, 46-year-old James Schramm of O’Fallon, Missouri, was indicted for three counts of first-degree wanton endangerment, first-degree criminal mischief, operating a motor vehicle under the influence with aggravating circumstances, and possession of an open alcohol container. The charges are the result of a Christian County Sheriff’s Office investigation on March 22.

The grand jury also indicted 55-year-old Charles L. Daymont of Benton for leaving the scene of an accident without rendering aid or assistance involving death or serious physical injury stemming from a February 15 crash in Oak Grove.
