Forte’s attorney Michael Cotthoff had previously told the court there is an indicted co-defendant in the case.

In May, Judge Andrew Self reduced Forte’s bond, allowing him to post ten percent of $25,000.

The special prosecutor request will be made to the office of the Kentucky Attorney General, who then appoints someone to handle the case in Christian County.
