According to the Kentucky Department of Transportation westbound lanes were blocked until about nine Saturday night to allow the wreckage to cool enough to be removed. Eastbound lanes reopened just after one Saturday afternoon but a disabled truck and several other traffic snags had traffic at an almost standstill until sometime after ten. A detour was established in both directions.
