Cindy Allen Lax, Sr.

I was born and raised in Princeton, Kentucky, and graduated from Caldwell County High School in 1974.  I moved to Trigg County in the summer of ’74.   I  will celebrated 25 years, with Ham Broadcasting Company in April 2018.  I am Senior Marketing Specialist for the sales team of WKDZ/WHVO, and I serve as co-host of the Country Club with Alan Watts (I’m the Allen half of Alan & Allen) heard weekday mornings 6:00 to 9:00 on WKDZ 106.5FM AND 100.9FM.

So many things have changed during my years at WKDZ/WHVO but one thing hasn’t…that’s my love for our communities and the services that we provide our listeners.  I love helping keep you informed and hopefully entertained and I love helping businesses grow!

I am the proud mom of two beautiful daughters and now I’m one of those crazy grandmas (better known as “CC”).  My oldest daughter Jessica and her husband Shane Fuller live in Hopkinsville and are the proud parents of, one daughter Ryan , and two busy boys Eston and John… My youngest daughter, Chelsey Redd, and her husband, Paxton,  live in Cadiz.  They have wo beautiful red-headed girls- Elizabeth Ruth Redd known as Elli,  born Oct  2008, and Lydia Haze Redd, was born Oct 2009 and last but not least Ada Michael Redd (who is not a red head) was born, 2013.

I can’t forget to tell you about my best friend—my husband Kerry.   Kerry and I knew each other at Caldwell County High School and reconnected after 30 years in 2004. We married December 22 2006..  Kerry  opened a whole new world to me which includes fishing, camping, and hunting.  And yes, I enjoy them all!   He is now enjoying retirement.   Along with Kerry came two more wonderful daughters-Jennifer and Emmy, 3 grandsons—Jacob, Kerry and Josh and one granddaughter-Mackenzie. That’s a grand total of 7!  But wait it doesn’t stop there!.  Emmy married Jan 1, 2011 and became an amazing mom to two girls and a boy–. Reilly, Micah and Madeline!  Life is Good for the Lax family!!

Kerry and I attend Hopewell Baptist Church in Kuttawa.  We love little day trips, 400 mile yard sales, flea markets,  auctions and discovering unique places to eat. Kerry has a lot of hobbies in addition to the outdoor activities and he’s a fabulous cook! I am indeed blessed

I enjoy serving the community and helping my clients market their business.  It’s truly a blessing to look forward to coming to work everyday—especially after  25 years!
