Due to the forecast of inclement weather this weekend, Pennyrile Electric has postponed the planned power outage in the Cadiz substation Saturday night. Spokesman Brent Gilkey says the power outage has been rescheduled for Sunday morning, November 3rd at 12:01 for four hours.
The outage will affect 1,512 Pennyrile Electric members in the following locations:
- Highway 124 East to 8920 Cerulean Road
- Highway 139 North to 6320 Princeton Road
- Wallonia
- US 68 East from Cadiz to Gracey
- HWEA Pump Station on the Little River, North of Cadiz
Officials say the interruption of service is necessary to upgrade equipment within the Cadiz Substation. In case of inclement weather, the interruption will be rescheduled for a later date.
