Cumberland Hall Hospital announced Tuesday that David Melear has been named Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the facility, effective June 3.
Officials say Melear has more than 27 years of expertise in the field of mental health, 14 of those served in executive leadership.
Melear holds two degrees from Western Kentucky University. Hospital officials say Melear and his wife are happy to return to the area after leaving Kentucky in 2005.
Cumberland Hall’s mission is to provide superior healthcare services for children, adolescents, and adults struggling with emotional disorders, psychiatric conditions, and addiction. In addition, programs are tailored to the specific needs of active military members and veterans.
