Carolyn June Tatum, age 87, of Hopkinsville, KY, passed away on Monday, April 20, 2026, of natural causes. Funeral Services will be on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home at 12:00 PM. Visitation will be at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home from 11:00 until Noon on Saturday, April 25, 2026. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements.
Carolyn was born in Calloway County, Kentucky on September 24, 1938, to the late Noel and Laura Nell Swift Cole. She was a hairstylist, owning and operating Carol’s Beauty Shop, and was an insurance agent at Luton Tatum Insurance. Carolyn was a member of Sinking Fork Baptist Church. She was a past member of the Cosmetology Association. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Luton Allen Tatum; her daughter, Deborah Finzel; brothers, James Cole and Donald Cole; and her grandchildren, Michael Carson Jr. and Patrick Carson.
Survivors include her son, Michael Carson and his wife, Patricia, of Columbia, TN; daughter, Teresa White, Hopkinsville, KY; 8 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 3 great, great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society or Diabetes Association.
