
Christian County Public Schools has announced that 10 students have been selected as 2026 Governor’s Scholars, earning spots in the prestigious, five-week summer program held on college campuses across Kentucky. District officials say the honor reflects the students’ talent and dedication, noting the program’s highly competitive selection process.
Selected to attend the prestigious summer program are:
Evelyn Bangart- Hopkinsville High
Kaley Bangart- Hopkinsville High
Tyson Cavinder- Hopkinsville High
Kaydon Coats- Hopkinsville High
Tristin Dillard- Christian County High
Azaa Enkhtugs- Hopkinsville High
Cooper Fort- Christian County High
Caleb Luttrull- Christian County High
Lester Macario- Hopkinsville High
A’Niyah Wilford- Christian County High
Four students were selected as alternates to the program: William Benjamin and Lily Johnston from Hopkinsville High, and Andrew Maxwell and Cody J. Smith from Christian County High.
The students began the application process in the fall of their junior year and learned of their acceptance into the program in mid-April.
They will attend their scheduled session this summer prior to the beginning of their senior year.
The Governor’s Scholars Program, established in 1983 to retain Kentucky’s top students, is provided at no cost through state partnerships. Students apply during their junior year and attend the program the summer before their senior year.
