A traffic stop on Mandarin Drive in Oak Grove led to drug charges for an Oak Grove man on Thursday night.

Oak Grove Police say they stopped a vehicle driven by 36-year-old Robert Dortch after he was seen crossing the center line, and during the stop, deputies could smell the odor of marijuana in the vehicle.

Marijuana was reportedly seen in the door of the vehicle; his license had been suspended since 2012, the plate on the vehicle was for another vehicle, and he was not able to show proof of insurance.

Deputies say after a search of the vehicle, a bag containing a powdery substance, a bag of suspected meth, and more marijuana were found.

Dortch was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of meth precursor, possession of marijuana, no registration plates, improperly turning or driving lane or entering limited access, no operator’s license, and failure to produce an insurance card.
