A Cadiz man was charged with drug possession at his home on Rabbit Ridge Road in Trigg County Wednesday night.
Trigg County Sheriff’s deputies say they were called to the home to locate a 14-month-old and a newborn child who were in state custody and were with their mother.
The children were located and taken into the custody of child services. Deputies say the owner of the home, 31-year-old Lucas Wilson, stated he had a history of drug addiction and had recently relapsed.
He reportedly gave consent to search the home and meth, marijuana, syringes, smoking pipes, and other drug paraphernalia were located.
Wilson was arrested and charged with possession of meth third or more offenses and possession of marijuana.
