Nina Allen Taylor, age 80, of Cadiz, passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Shady Lawn Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Cadiz.
She was born on July 23, 1945, in Princeton, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Robert & Elizabeth (Soden) Salyers.
Nina was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, whose life was marked by her deep love for her family. A dedicated employee at DDP Plastics in Kuttawa for many years, Nina’s true joy lay in the time she spent with her family and friends, and in the companionship of her beloved dog, Toby Taylor, who was always by her side.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Charles Edward Allen, Sr., and her second husband, Teddy Wayne Taylor, Sr. She was also predeceased by her brothers Harold, Cecil, Johnny, Butch, Leroy, and Frankie Salyers, as well as her sister Annie Mae Jackson.
She is survived by her son, Charles Edward Allen, Jr. of Cadiz, and her daughter, Tammy Polk (Kevin) of Cadiz; her stepdaughter, Debbie Nelson (Jeff); her sisters, Betty Jackson, Margaret Bruce, and Vonda Sue Hogan, all of Princeton; her grandchildren, Greg Creekmur (Mandy), Dylan Polk (Chelsey), Hannah Allen, and Haley Smith (Ryan), and step grandchildren, Adam Hughes, Courtney Hale (Cody), Paul Scott Nelson, Teddy Wayne Taylor, III, and Elizabeth Taylor, great-grandchildren, Aiden Turpin, Elijah, Jensen, and Lincoln Miller, Lucas Battoe-Smith, and Arya Smith, and step great-grandchildren, Jaxson and Raygan Hale.
Funeral services will be at Goodwin Funeral Home, 138 Main Street in Cadiz, at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, May 12, 2026, with Terry Brent Creekmur officiating. Burial will follow in Trigg Memory Acres.
Visitation will precede the service at the funeral home from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM.
