Joyce McCormick Thomas, age 85, of Princeton, passed away Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Mercy Health Lourdes in Paducah.
Joyce was born December 3, 1940 to the late Isaac and Edna Cook McCormick. She retired after many years as an Adult Education Educator and was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Above all, Joyce was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Philip Thomas of Princeton; daughter, Kay Thomas (Chad) Lane of Princeton; sons, Mark (Mary K. Clift) Thomas of Princeton and Mike (Kathy) Thomas of Gulf Shores, AL; sisters, Betty Storey and Pat (Gary) Estes both of Hopkinsville, Sharon (Mike) Murray of Princeton; grandchildren, David (Allison) Gray, Katie (Clint) Sivells, Isaac Lane, Shelby Lane, Philip Michael Thomas, Patrick (Brennan) Thomas, Paige (Conner) Hill and Payton Thomas; nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at Morgan’s Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at Morgan’s Funeral Home with Bro. Dean Ray officiating. Burial will follow in Piney Grove Cemetery.
