A request to check the welfare of a person led to drug charges for a Hopkinsville man on South McPherson Avenue on Monday morning.
Hopkinsville Police say they got out with 30-year-old Altovise McGregor, who was lying on the ground staring at the sky, stating the Lord told him to.
Police say he showed signs of being under the influence of a controlled substance, and meth was found in his jacket.
He was arrested and charged with possession of meth and public intoxication.
