Parents and guardians of future students in Christian County Public Schools will have an opportunity to register their children for kindergarten during an upcoming event.
Kindergarten Registration will take place on Friday, March 20, at the MLK Early Learning Center. The event will run as a drop-in registration from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is open to all children entering kindergarten for the upcoming school year.
Children are eligible to enroll if they will be 5 years old on or before Aug. 1, 2026, according to district guidelines.
Families are asked to bring several required documents and medical records during registration. These include a physical exam, vision exam, dental exam, and a current Kentucky immunization record.
Parents must also provide a state-certified copy of the child’s birth certificate. Hospital-issued birth certificates will not be accepted. In cases where a certified birth certificate cannot be provided, families may submit other reliable proof of the child’s identity and age along with an affidavit explaining the inability to present the certified document.
School officials say the registration event helps ensure students are prepared for the upcoming school year and allows families to complete required paperwork and documentation in advance.
District leaders encourage parents of eligible children to attend the event and complete registration ahead of the new school year.
