A funeral service for 61-year-old Jeff A. James of Hopkinsville will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 27,at Dogwood Funerals & Cremations of Hopkinsville with Pastor Gary Atkin to officiate the service. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour. Dogwood Funerals & Cremations of Hopkinsville is in charge of the arrangements.
Jeff A. James, 61, of Hopkinsville, KY passed away on Friday, February 20, 2026, at TriStar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN.
A native of Fayette County, KY he was born October 10, 1964, the son of the late John Leslie James and Shirley Ann Aldridge James. He was the associate pastor at Christ Fellowship of Cunningham, TN. As a hobby, he would buy storage units at auction in hopes of finding some worthwhile items left behind. His family fondly describes him as being quite a character who was well known by many in his church community.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother: John James Jr.
He is survived by his son: Tanner Cunningham; his siblings: Renee Matlock and Chris (Rhonda) James; his nephews: Patrick Willetts and Michael (Jessica) Willetts and his children: Rayleigh Willetts, Dakota Willetts, and Lilian Willetts; his nieces: Whitney James, Kayla (Travis) English and her child: Noah English, and Desoree Davis and her children: Rocket Davis, Indeana Davis, and Lincoln C. Davis.
