Fifth District State Representative Mary Beth Imes says she was pleased to see some key legislation pass the Kentucky House of Representatives during the past week.
Imes, who represents Trigg and Calloway Counties in the Kentucky House of Representatives, says a bill aimed at protecting children was among those that passed.
Representative Imes says other legislation will help local government and provide better insurance coverage for hearing aids.
She adds bills that passed provide better protection for emergency workers and pedestrians.
Imes also highlighted several other important bills that were approved by the Kentucky House last week during comments that can be heard on the weekly Legislative Update Program on 96.5 and 100.9 WHVO following the Noon News Edge.
