Nancy Gay Stevens, 79, of Hopkinsville, KY and formerly of Tupelo, MS died at 11:47 a.m. Friday, January 23, 2026 at her residence.
Funeral services will be 12:00 p.m. Friday, January 30, 2026 at Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home with Rev. Reed Shepherd and Rev. Dr. Rick Stevens officiating. Private burial will be held at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West. Visitation will be Friday from 10:30 a.m. until the funeral hour. Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
A native of Evansville, IN she was born July 23, 1946 the daughter of the late Sylvan Samuel Stevens and Jennie Mae Harris Stevens. Nancy spent her career working in administrative positions in both churches and businesses. She was a member of Harrisburg Baptist Church in Tupelo, MS.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister: Kathy Parke; and her brother: Scott Stevens.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years: Dick Stevens; her son: Dr. Rick (Shirley) Stevens of Clarksville, TN; her daughter: Robin (Jerry) Wheeler of Fulton, MS; her sister: Lynda Voss of Ponca City, OK; her grandchildren: Justin (Brittney) Hall, Valerie (Cahle) Buckingham, and Sam Stevens; and her great grandchildren: Ricky Hall, Ruthie Hall, and Hadley Buckingham.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Living Hope Baptist Church in Hopkinsville, KY or Harrisburg Baptist Church in Tupelo, MS.
