Lexington Church Shooter Identified By Coroner’s Office

The shooter who killed two women in Lexington has been identified by Fayette County Coroner Gary Ginn.

According to a news release from the Coroner’s office, the shooter was identified as 47-year-old Guy House, who died from a gunshot wound at Richmond Road Baptist Church.

Lexington Police officers were dispatched to a shooting involving a Kentucky State Police trooper around 11:40 a.m. Sunday at Blue Grass Airport in Lexington.

During a Sunday news conference Lexington Police say House, was initially pulled over due to a license plate alert on traffic cams. During the traffic stop House reportedly shot the trooper and fled the scene.

Police were able to locate House’s vehicle on Old Richmond Road. House got out of his vehicle and went into at Richmond Road Baptist Church and shot four people. The shooting claimed the lives of 72-year-old Beverly Gumm and 32-year-old Christina Combs.
