South Christian resident Caleb Ballard has announced his candidacy for Christian County School Board District 4.
Ballard said in a release that the people of District 4 deserve conscientious representation and he is pursuing the position with the support of his family, friends and community. He noted that he’s running to restore accountability, confidence and integrity to the board and to advocate for students, teachers, parents, and constituents with a strong voice.
Ballard said he believes in public education and supports the need for students to gain the skills necessary to compete in the 21st-century workforce.
Ballard also stated that the school district faces many challenges; infrastructure and long-planning issues, fiscal responsibility and lagging educational performance. He asks the people of District 4 for the opportunity to serve them with bold leadership.
If elected, Ballard says he will work to improve the public school education system and be accountable to the citizens who elected him.
