Charged with theft by unlawful taking of the Trigg County Arrowcats, Melissa Rogers pleaded guilty Wednesday morning in Trigg County Circuit Court.

Her official sentencing will come June 12.

Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney Chad Nelson said their office tendered a motion of restitution for Rogers prior to her pre-sentence investigation, and Judge Jamus Redd agreed — with public defender John Johnson III noting payments coming.

Redd confirmed that, according to the indictment, more than $41,000 was taken between November 2021 and December 2023. At $10,000 or more, it’s a “Class C” felony punishable by up to 1-to-5 years in prison.

As part of her plea deal, Rogers must never again serve in a booster club role for Trigg County Schools, and a felony status could impact typical rights afforded to law-abiding citizens.
