Arlene Miller, 82, of Crofton

Arlene Grace Miller, with 43 years of celebrating her 39th birthday, of Crofton passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at her home.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Larry Baker and John Franklin officiating with burial at the Miller Family Cemetery at a later date. Visitation with the family will be at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home on Saturday, May 11, 2024, from 12 noon until 2:00 PM. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements.

Mrs. Miller was born, on February 5, 1942, in Christian County, KY, the daughter of the late Neal Anthony “Pistol” and Maudie Louise Deason Grace. Lene, as she was affectionately known, was an LPN at Western State Hospital for 28 years. She was a member of New Palestine Baptist Church. She had served as Director of Impact ministries for 28 years. Arlene was a missionary with Mission Service Corps, Director of the Christian Women’s Job Corps, a member of the Women’s Missionary Union, and a missionary with the North American Mission Board.  Her missionary work led her to missions in Poland, Greece, and 18 mission trips to Haiti. She was also involved in countless mission trips to numerous states within the Continental United States.  Arlene was preceded in death by her husband William Lewis “Bill” Miller, her son Timmy Lee Miller, and her great-grandson Jenson Farmer.

Survivors include her daughters, Beverly Miller of Crofton, and Natalie (James) Burchett of Warren County, KY; her brother Eugene “Hobby” Grace of Hopkinsville; her sisters, Edith “Betsy” (Wayne) Hewell of Christian County, Wanda Grace of Hopkinsville; three grandchildren, Jessica Miller, Jared Corbitt, Courtney Corbitt; and her great-granddaughter Brynlee Farmer.
