A home on Carol Drive in Trigg County was severely damaged in a fire Saturday afternoon.
Trigg Lyon Firefighters say smoke was coming from the roof when they arrived and a large fire was found in the basement.
No one was home at the time of the fire and the cause has not been determined.
Firefighters say around 70 percent of the home is damaged due to fire and smoke and no one will be able to stay in the home without some major renovations.
Trigg Lyon Firefighters were assisted by the Montgomery Fire Department in extinguishing the fire.
The home is located at 236 Carol Drive.
