Dwayne “Cuz” Johnson, age 75, of Hopkinsville, passed away Friday, February 23, 2024, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center of natural causes. Funeral Services will be Friday, March 1, 2024, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home at 10:00 AM with Brother Barry Williams officiating and burial to follow in Johnson’s Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home on Thursday, February 29, 2024, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM. The family has entrusted Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home to handle the arrangements.
Mr. Johnson was born on April 27, 1948, in Hopkinsville, the son of the late William E “Bill” and Jeanne Anita Meacham Johnson. Dwayne was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War and a postal carrier for over 30 years. Cuz enjoyed hunting, puzzles, UK basketball, gardening, and a nice cold beer outside. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Michial Johnson and Kenneth Johnson.
Survivors included his sons, James E. Johnson “Jimmy” of Hopkinsville, KY, and Adam K. Johnson (Melinda) of Cadiz, KY; his brother, Tommy Johnson of Hopkinsville, KY; his sister, Rita Stone of Madisonville, KY; his grandchildren, Austin Johnson, Dalton Johnson, Dustin Johnson, Kerra Johnson, and Presley Johnson.
Instead of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in his memory to Wounded Warriors.
