Rev. Clyde Douglas McCombs, 72, Hopkinsville, passed away on Friday, February 9, 2024, in Pembroke.
Rev. McCombs was the son of the late Rev. Harry McCombs II and Aslee Gray McCombs. He was born on April 1, 1951, in Christian Co. KY.
Rev. McCombs was the Associate Minister of Durrett Avenue Baptist Church where he was also a member. He was employed at Pop Fasteners/ Emhart for 25 years. He enjoyed reading the Bible, praying, preaching, spending time with his family, watching westerns, football, and basketball. He loved his children and grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Rev. Harry McCombs III and Gloria McCombs.
Survivors include his wife, Marva Quarles McCombs; Children, Corey Brooks (Nichole) Giles and Courtney McCombs; Grandchildren, Chelsea B. Giles, Chynna McCombs, Olivia B. Giles, and Malachi McCombs; a host of nieces and nephews.
Gamble Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Services will be on Friday, February 16 at 11:00 at the Durrett Avenue Baptist Church.
Burial will follow in the Cave Springs Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday morning at 9:00 at the church.
