Cadiz Man And Woman Charged With Wanton Endangerment

A Cadiz man and woman were charged after a 4-year-old child was found in the middle of the road in Trigg County Friday night.

Trigg County Sheriff Aaron Acree says he was called to Liberty Point Baptist Church for a 4-year-old who was standing in the middle of the road.

The child was reportedly dried off by members of the church and the Department of Community-Based Services was called and claimed there had been a similar incident at the same home before.

Acree says he went to the home of 28-year-old Robert Hart and 26-year-old Breanna Mason and found the backdoor was open and two small children strapped into car seats.

Mason reportedly told Acree she fell asleep around 6 p.m. but it was 8:30 p.m. at the time and no one had called to report the child missing. Mason and Hart were both arrested and charged with first-degree wanton endangerment.
