Christian County Health Department Out Of COVID-19 Vaccines

Officials with the Christian County Health Department announced Tuesday morning that — due to high demand and limited quantities — all given doses of this fall’s COVID-19 vaccine have been administered.

And CCHD will be unable to provide this inoculation until further notice.

Cloie Rager, CCHD marketing & communications director, reports additional vaccine orders have been placed. However, supply and demand issues are being observed in the healthcare sector, and she noted there are “several other public health departments and facilities also waiting on additional doses.”

For now, all influenza vaccines are available and being administered at CCHD, including regular and high-dose, aged 65-plus options. Regular doses are $30 and high doses are $50, and insurance options are accepted with a valid insurance card.

No appointment is necessary. Vaccines are available from 7:30 AM until 4:30 PM Monday through Thursday, with a lunch break observed from 12-12:40 PM each weekday.

On Fridays, CCHD is open to the public from 7:30-11 AM.

At-home COVID-19 rapid test kits are available for free from the CCHD front desk, which is located at 1700 Canton Street in Hopkinsville.

CCHD officials can be reached by phone at (270) 887-4160.
