Indiana Man Charged With Cashing Forged Check

A Gary, Indiana man was arrested in Hopkinsville on a warrant for theft and criminal possession of a forged instrument Saturday morning.

Hopkinsville Police say on September 21st 25-year-old Devyon Johnson-Griffin cashed a forged check for $2,010 at United Southern Bank in Trenton. After cashing the check it was later reportedly found to have been forged and Johnson-Griffin was identified in surveillance photos as the person that cashed the check.

He was arrested on Glass Avenue in Hopkinsville on charges of theft by unlawful taking or deception and second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument.
