A child was found to have head injuries after an investigation on Locust Street in Christian County Friday night.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say they were called to assist the Department for Community Based Services (DCBS) with an investigation into possible abuse and located a child with head injuries inside the home.
The child they were called to the home for along with a second child both under 3 years old were taken to the hospital with one being flown to a Nashville hospital.
Deputies say the second child was taken to be checked out and it’s unknown at this time if the child has any injuries.
The investigation is ongoing and reportedly started when one child was taken to the hospital and after further investigation by medical staff was found to have head injuries.
No arrests have been made.
