The Alhambra Theatre will be the location tonight for the kickoff event for Hopkinsville’s Big Read and will feature a free performance of “Bone Hill – The Concert” by musician Martha Redbone.
Alissa Keller, executive director of the Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County which includes the Pennyroyal Area Museum, said the group was a hit when they were in Hopkinsville eight years ago.
click to download audioThe first 200 people who register online for the kickoff will receive a copy of a book at the Alhambra. Keller said the book for this year’s Big Read is “There There,” a story of 12 Native Americans.
