College Street Murder Suspect Enters Plea

A Christian County woman charged in the fatal shooting of a Hopkinsville man on College Street last year entered a plea in Christian County Circuit Court Monday morning.

Kachelle Isbell and her public defender Doug Moore appeared before Judge Andrew Self and special prosecutor Tim Cocanougher appeared via Zoom.

Isbell was initially charged with murder in the death of 33-year old Anthony Johnson in the early morning hours of April 3, 2021. She was scheduled to go to trial in January.

As part of the plea agreement, Isbell’s murder charge was amended to reckless homicide.

Isbell will be formally sentenced at 11:00 Tuesday morning.
