Bush Announces For District 6 Magistrate, Kyler For PVA

Two Trigg County 2022 election races gained entrants Wednesday afternoon when James Kyler filed as a Republican for PVA, and Pat Bush filed as a Republican for District 6 magistrate for the fiscal court.

Kyler lost to current PVA Lauren Fowler in the 2018 May Primary and is once again challenging her next year.

Meanwhile, Bush is now the sixth to file as a Republican for District 6 — joining Will Ezell, Dennis Whitten, Michael Anderson, Billy Calhoun, and Lucas Hale.

Representing the southwestern Trigg County area, incumbent Larry Lawrence is not expected to run again for his seat. And now it’s become a formidable race to watch.

Partisan races currently have a filing deadline of January 7, but the recent legislative session brought about the 10-year recurrence of redistricting, and there’s an expectation that the deadline could be shifted to January 25.
