Trigg Woman Arrested At School Was Free On Bond From Two Other Cases

The Cadiz woman arrested inside the Trigg County High School vocational building last month was free on surety bonds from two previous cases that had resulted in her arrest.

37-year-old Charley Hooks was arrested around 6:30 on the morning of September 22 — just minutes before students were scheduled to arrive at the school for the school day.

She was charged with first-degree burglary and third-degree criminal mischief. Cadiz Police said Hooks entered the vocational building and consumed food and drinks from a refrigerator in the Trigg Tots classroom. Police say Hooks was discovered by employees to be asleep in the front room of the preschool area. A large folding knife was found next to Hooks, according to the report, which went on to say that a rug and sheets Hooks was lying on had blood on them.

Hook was additionally served two warrants for failure to appear in court.

According to the Christian County Jail, Hooks had been arrested five days prior on a warrant for failure to appear in court for a different case and was free on a surety bond.

Ten days prior to that, Hooks had been arrested on charges of public intoxication and a misdemeanor charge of fraudulent use of a credit card and was again, free on a surety bond.

As of Friday, the jail lists Hooks’ bond at $16,592 cash stemming from the arrest at the high school.
