Gas Station Murder Suspect Appears For Arraignment

A man charged in connection to a fatal shooting at the Valero gas station in Hopkinsville was arraigned in Christian County Circuit Court Wednesday afternoon.

21-year old Dalton Hall is charged with murder, being a convicted felon in possession of a handgun, and tampering with physical evidence in connection to the death of 31-year old Delmour Moncrief in April.

Hall appeared virtually from jail before Circuit Judge Andrew Self. Hall’s public defender, Eric Bearden entered a not guilty plea on behalf of his client and said he would be filing a bond motion.

According to Hopkinsville police, Hall and 26-year old David King fled the scene in a vehicle after the shooting at the East 9th Street gas station on April 10th. Moncrief was rushed to Jennie Stuart Medical Center where he later died from his injuries. Hall was taken into custody in Alabama a few days later and extradited back to Kentucky. He is being held in the Christian County Jail.
