Beshear Announces Ways Of Getting COVID Vaccine Out Faster

Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear announced last week hopes to have all public school educators receiving their first dose of vaccine by the end of the month and a new partnership to help vaccinate the public faster.

Beshear said he thinks all educators who wanted to receive the vaccine will get the second dose by mid-March.

In other news, Governor Beshear added the state is partnering with Kroger to offer COVID vaccination clinics across the Commonwealth, beginning the week of February 1.

He said the locations of the Kroger vaccine clinics would be announced soon.

The website for the Kroger vaccine clinics is expected to launch Thursday, January 28.

Jim Gray will serve as the Director of Vaccine Distribution, as more vaccines are made available in the coming weeks.
