Christian County has surpassed 5,000 total COVID-19 cases as of Wednesday afternoon.
Christian County Health Department spokeswoman Amanda Sweeney said there had been 5,043 total cases, an increase of 54 from Tuesday. 924 are active, with 556 between 22 and 59, while 229 are 60 or older.
The county has reported 4,052 recoveries and 67 deaths since March 2020.
