Trigg COVID Cases Increase by 20 Over Weekend

Trigg County’s COVID-19 case total has risen by 20 over the weekend according to information released Monday by the Pennyrile District Health Department.

The 20 new cases ranged in age from 17 to 77. Half of the cases involve people under 50 years old and five are under the age of 30. The average age of the new Trigg County cases was 45.

Trigg County has seen 117 cases reported in November, compared to 83 in October and 80 on September. The total case number for the county now stands at 370.

On Friday, the health department reported 53 active cases in Trigg County with four people hospitalized.

Meanwhile, Caldwell County reported 33 new cases Monday, and Lyon County reported six. Since the pandemic began, Caldwell County has seen 521 cases and Lyon County has reported 184.
