Chamber’s Leadership Program Suspended Due To COVID-19 Pandemic

Officials with the Christian County Chamber of Commerce have announced they will not hold Leadership Hopkinsville for the 2020-21 year amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. Chamber President/CEO Kelli Pendleton says the decision to suspend both the adult and youth programs was recommended by the Leadership Committee which was approved by the Chamber’s Board of Directors.

Pendleton says she believed that there were too many unknowns to be able to successfully launch the program this August.

Although the program is suspended, Leadership Committee Chair Lea Martin said the committee wouldn’t take the year off but rather explore ways to change the program and make it better.

Leadership Hopkinsville-Christian County develops the leadership potential within the community by bringing together individuals with diverse backgrounds who have a demonstrated talent and commitment for leadership.
