Cerulean Man Charged With Fleeing From Law Enforcement

A Cerulean man was charged with speeding and fleeing or evading police on Princeton Road Thursday afternoon.

Christian County Sheriff’s Deputies say they attempted to stop 36-year-old Thomas Buckley on Princeton Road for going 71 mph in a 55 mph zone.

The deputy reportedly turned his emergency lights on and turned around to stop Buckley then he turned off onto Old Princeton Road but was located by the deputy and came to a stop.

Buckley allegedly told deputies he turned onto old Princeton Road and hopes to avoid contact with law enforcement. Deputies say there was also a 6-year-old child in the vehicle without a booster seat.

He is charged with second-degree fleeing or evading police, speeding, driving on a suspended or revoked license, and failure to use child restraint device.
