With the Edge Media Group the only locally owned and locally operated media entity in the market, President and CEO Beth Mann announced Tuesday morning the launch of a brand new initiative, Support Local encouraging residents to make extra efforts in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Mann says the Support Local Initiative is to encourage all of our listeners and users of our products to do business locally and support businesses in whatever way we can. She adds this is a time for us to come together.

She adds what makes all of the communities in our area special is the people.
As part of the Support Local Initiative, Mann is asking residents to make a commitment to buy locally.

In addition, the Edge Media Group will be running messages every day giving residents exact and specific ways to support local. Mann says an example is Tuesday’s message, which is to pay local businesses first.

She adds residents also will be given the opportunity on Facebook to share what you did to help support a local business.

The Support Local Initiative will also include business workshops held in the Edge Media Group Radio Room for local businesses to attend and help them connect with local people.
