The Western Kentucky State Fair offered many opportunities for blue ribbons and grand championships in the 4H/FFA/ Homemakers exhibit last week. The exhibit included many individual exhibits such as homemade jelly, canning, quilt making, and much more. Ella Cornelius of Crofton participated in the Homemaker’s exhibit.
Ella’s grandmother, Faye Cornelius told the News Edge she has participated in this exhibit for a few years with all of her grandchildren.
She added one of our favorite memories with her grandchildren preparing for the exhibit is picking flowers with her granddaughter, Ella in the rain and muddy fields.
Ella and her grandmother made 156 entries and received a total of 147 ribbons. They earned 94 blue ribbons, 9 white ribbons, 44 red ribbons, and 4 Grand Champion ribbons last week at the Western Kentucky State Fair in Hopkinsville.
