Two Interstate Wrecks Sent Nine People To the Hospital In Christian County

Two separate wrecks involving seven vehicles sent nine people to the hospital Monday morning.
Christian County Sheriff’s Deputies say in the first wreck a tractor-trailer was westbound when the driver attempted to exit the interstate at exit 86 and another tractor-trailer was in his way, causing him to swerve toward the median.
When he swerved his trailer hit a van causing it to hit two other vehicles. A passenger in the van had to be cut from the vehicle.
The driver and three passengers in the van were taken by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Medical Center. Four others involved in the wreck were taken to the hospital by private vehicles.
Christian County Emergency Director Randy Graham said in a separate wreck, just a mile from the first wreck three-vehicles, collided causing a woman in one of the vehicles to be taken to the hospital with arm injuries.
Officials have not released the names of anyone involved in the wrecks.
