The sheriff’s office is investigating two separate thefts in which more than $7,000 worth of farm and construction equipment were stolen.

Sara Sheperd of Pleasant Grove Road reported that sometime between 5:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. Tuesday a green Honda Foreman ATV with a staple gun and staples in the glove box was taken from their garage. Shepherd stated to deputies the suspect had to be someone that knew they had an ATV because they live down a long lane, well off the road. The estimated value of the ATV is listed at $6,500.00.

The second theft occurred around 9:00 Tuesday morning at a home on Poole Mill Road. Gene Stephens reported that a MIG welder and air compressor had been missing from his storage shed a couple of days. The estimated value of the missing items is listed at $700.00
