Police say a Madisonville man was arrested after he assaulted another man with a razor knife Tuesday morning.
Madisonville Police say 40-year old Steve Stewart and 43-year old Jeremy Payton were involved in a physical altercation on West Lake Street shortly after 7:30 a.m. when Stewart pulled a razor knife and cut Payton multiple times, causing serious physical injuries.
Payton was transported by ambulance to the emergency room at Baptist Health Madisonville for treatment.
Stewart was lodged in the Hopkins County Jail.
