Three people were injured in a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of North Scott and Branch streets in Madisonville Tuesday afternoon. Madisonville Police report 69-year old Sandal Ploeg of Madisonville was driving west on Branch Street shortly before 1:40 when she disregarded the stop sign and pulled into the path of a southbound SUV on North Scott Street driven by 30-year old Jennie Sherman of Madisonville. Police say Ploeg’s car broadsided Sherman’s SUV causing it to overturn and eject the passenger, 30-year old Marlo Hutchins of Madisonville.
All three subjects were hurt in the crash. Police report Hutchins was transported by ambulance to Baptist Health Madisonville for treatment of injuries.
The Medical Center Ambulance and the Madisonville Fire Department assisted police at the scene of the crash.
