Cadiz-Trigg County Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help identifying a woman wanted for questioning in the theft of a customer’s cell phone at Casey’s General Store in Cadiz.

According to a social media post by Cadiz Police Officer Matthew Riddle, the lady was captured on surveillance video at the store around 11:00 Wednesday morning. A 10-year old child was at the counter prior to the suspect paying for her items. The video shows the young man place his cell phone on the counter next to the credit card reader and then leave the store, accidentally leaving the phone on the counter. Officer Riddle reports the female suspect is seen on the video sliding the phone, valued around $900, under her pink wallet and leaving the store with it in her possession after she paid cash for her items.
