Gracey Woman Arrested On Warrants, Drug Charges

A Gracey woman was arrested on two warrants and drug charges in Trigg County Monday. Trigg County Sheriff's Deputy Jared Werner tells the News Edge they received a tip Monday that 27-year old Tana Stewart was at a Cadiz residence. He indicates Stewart had two warrants out of Christian County — one for Failure to Appear for some traffic related offenses, Possession of a Suspended Operator's License and Operating on a Suspended License, and the second warrant was for Contempt of Court for child support.

Deputy Werner says when Stewart was taken into custody on the warrants she grabbed her bags and belongings and brought them with her to the sheriff's office. During a search of the bags, they reportedly found a pipe and straw with a white powder residue inside. He says she admitted to snorting Suboxone a few days prior and stated she had forgotten the items were in her purse.

Stewart was charged with the warrants, 2nd Degree Possession of Controlled, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
