A large amount of copper wire was reported stolen on Cherokee Trace Boulevard in Hopkinsville on Monday morning.
Hopkinsville Police say someone took around 700 pounds of copper wire valued at $5,000 from a Hopkinsville business.
No arrest has been made, but the report lists the charges as theft by unlawful taking and third-degree criminal trespassing.
