A man and two women were charged with burglary on East 18th Street in Hopkinsville on Sunday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say they were called for a burglary in progress and found wood covering a door had been removed, and 53-year-old Sheila Smothers, 33-year-old Shawn Ellis, and 40-year-old Ansley Embry were inside the apartment.
Smothers reportedly claimed it was her apartment and she was getting her stuff, but the owner stated none of them should have been there.
They were all arrested and charged with second-degree burglary. Smothers was also found to have suspected meth in her purse, leading to her also being charged with possession of meth.
