Randle Gene Cruse, age 79, of Cadiz, passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at his home in Cadiz.
Born on April 16, 1947, in Dukedom, Tennessee, Randle was the son of the late Aubra Cruse and Mary Viola (McClain) Cruse.
After his military service, Randle dedicated many years of his life to protecting and serving his community as a Kentucky State Police, retiring as a Senior Trooper in 1994. Utilizing his skills as an army surveyor, he also started his own business, Randle Cruse Land Surveying, which he successfully ran for 30 years. In 1998, he was elected Trigg County Surveyor.
Randle was a proud Shriner, a member of the York Rite, and a member of the Sons of the American Revolution. His commitment to brotherhood and service was further exemplified through his membership in the Cadiz Masonic Lodge #121.
He enjoyed riding horses and watching classic westerns. A true enthusiast, Randle had a passion for both antique and modern firearms, appreciating the craftsmanship and history each piece held. Above all, his greatest passion was being “Papa” to his grandchildren and spending time with them.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Rubin Earl Cruse, Sr.
Randle is survived by his wife of more than 31 years, Wilma (Butts) Cruse; his children, John Cruse, Marc Cruse (Jessi) of Cadiz, and Tracy Sabatino (Pete) of Cadiz; eight grandchildren, Isabella Sabatino, Gabrielle Sabatino, Dylan Cruse, Mason Cruse, Jason Cruse, Julianne Cruse, Marcus Cruse, and Conner Cruse, and two great-grandchildren, Kash Thomas Lee Powell and Harper Hope Cruse.
